Activities Week 27 (29th June to 5th July 2021)

Well there we have it …… it may not be coming home this time ( ‘’ or any time soon under timid Gareth I’m afraid ‘’ - Gaffer ) ; but Southgate’s ‘ young lion s’ certainly did us proud and for one month wrapped the nation in some much needed joy after the last 16 months ☹!

… As well as providing Neil Diamond with more than a few quid in royalties – they were even learning it at my daughter’s school ! and it may have single handedly revived the flagging careers of Atomic Kitten with (Southgate you’re the One)! Hmmmm! Better luck next year boys !

Then although it was somewhat eclipsed by the footy, Wimbledon 2021 crowned Djokavic and Barty this year’s winners, and somewhere in a villa in Mallorca the Love Island zzz listers continue to get “mugged off” and “pied” – (no me neither) and we are now officially on the one week countdown to freedom day !

On to Week 27 on the mortgage side of the your business and in the midst of holiday season and the Euro’s itself you still notched up a very respectable £25,749,547 of lending

Great to see “Nice” Mike 007 Atkinson back on top with £3,779,283 of lending across 5 cases, one of which also won him this week’s “ Licence To Thrill ” Award for his £1,875,999 deal with NatWest.

Then runners up this week were Ron ‘ Marlon ‘ Walton who secured £2,191,081 of lending across 4 cases and Zak Abdul Karim who secured £2,017,046 of lending across 7 cases. ( well done Carrie too !!! xx ).

On to the roll call for this week’s winning squad in terms of case value and volume – step forward the following , all of whom could be trusted to score from 12 yards ;

Chris Taylor, Spencer Havers, Eva Alonso, Tom Sibley, Ricki Wenn, Russell Davis and Sean McGeough.

On the lender side, Santander remained on top as you completed the greatest number of cases with them for a second week running totalling 13 deals for £4,081,826 of lending.

Protection – Week 27

Another fantastic week over on the protection side of the business where our two superstars actually look like entrants for the next version of Love Island ???

A curvaceous and tailored 31 deals were completed , of which Sophie Evans secured a lush 17 deals, Rhys Forrest a ripe 5 and Jo Zeff completed the highest policy amount for a wicked £808,000 with L&G. *( are we now done with the Love island lingo ??? )

On the provider side you completed the greatest number of deals overall also with L&G totalling 8.

Birthday’s and other Parish Notices

Many Happy Returns in advance go to Claire Hutchinson who will be celebrating her Birthday on the 18th.

Management Notices

For some strange reason we saw a record low number of emails in to Head Office yesterday morning ! ☹ . No doubt a few hangovers were in play.

The Euro’s footie tournament was a welcome bit of relief from the humdrum of mortgages and perhaps the salutary lesson learnt from it for professionals in any walk of life , is that you ‘’ have to ask to ask for the business ‘’ i.e you can’t just sit back and hope it’ll happen. Memo to sir Gareth ; Get on the front foot and stay on it ….

Thankfully , your collective statistics every week prove that being pro-active ( as opposed to passive ) is a way of life for you all .

Just a couple of other parish notices ;

  1. Chris is back in Derby today and you’ll be able to see a new Zoom back-drop behind him ! We welcome him back . We have a few more newbies being trained up in the coming weeks so do please be mindful that Chris may need a few weeks to get back to full throttle as it were ….

  2. The Annual Conference on July 29TH ; All systems are go on this ; If you haven’t confirmed your ( non ) attendance yet then please do so asap to Kerry and Silvia as we are formulating the speed- date groups and lanyards etc this week .

This event will also double as our long-overdue MF Staff party , and be twinned too with Kevin celebrating his 55th birthday , St Patrick’s Day x2 , Christmas x2 etc afterwards and all are welcome > < On this one , we need names on the door and we’ll secure those in 2 weeks from you please > .

  1. Some of the Derby team will be taking long overdue hols shortly and we’ll notify you of the dates when known. We hope that you and your loved ones are also looking at taking some time away .

  2. And Finally ….. moving away from footie to cricket ; This perked me up folks and I hope that Shak and Ajay don’t mind me sharing this with you .

I sent them to Lords on Saturday on the back of an amazing first 6 months’ figures , and they kindly sent me back the attached ; James Corden and Peter Kay …..eat your hearts out !!!! It’s a video piece from their journey there which I’ll send separately as it’s too large for our email . But it’s hilarious ! A tamer photo attached below . Pakistan got thrashed , but so did Ajay and Shak on the free vino ….well done both !
