Activity Charts – Week 22 ( 25th May to 31st May 2021)

Phew….sccoorchio here in the Uk ( … but many of us in 22 degrees Darbados still wish we were one of Jo , Dom , or Colette etc in countries not dominated still by an incompetent hokey-cokey approach to the pandemic and incessant references to the Sussex’s and their baby girl
( clearly a kiss n make up gesture with Queenie ; she should excommunicate them still ! )
Lots going on also in the world of Politics last week with Carrie ‘’ my dog doesn’t sh*t everywhere but my husband does ‘’ Simmonds preparing to attend the G7 summit as the new ‘Mrs Bojo’, Portugal becoming a holiday ‘’no-go’ (unless you enjoy isolation as it was today added to the Amber List ) and the nation still awaiting the decision to see if the easing of restrictions will be on the ‘ go slow ’ as we await further news re: June 21st
Then elsewhere in the news, fans of a certain nineties series got super excited to see a group of Friends Reunited! < Gaffer ; that show is nauseous and cheeseville tatt … >
Over on the mortgage side of the business you also secured a very congenial £19,691,695 of lending across 71 cases in Week 22 in spite of it being the start of the summer holiday period.
Top of the charts this week was the ever companionable Ron Walton with £2,022,669 of lending across 5 cases followed by Nick Harris with £1,406,494 across 5 cases and Sarju Rach with £1,063,775 across 4 cases and Nick also took the “Big Time Barry” Award this week for his £821,499 case placed with Santander.
Then the always friendly Zak Abdul Karim, Phil Lyle, Jaime Lines, Laura Mitchell, William McGoldrick, Michelle Barraclough, Jo Zeff and Ben Hancox shared a virtual celebratory coffee on the sofa in Central Perk Café to mark their fantastic performances re: volumes of cases and sizeable loans this week – very well done all! < are you getting all these nauseous Friends references ? > < Gaffer …yes , we did Kerry …Thank You !!! >
On the lender side Santander topped the charts as you placed 14 deals with them this week for £5,197,541 of lending.
Protection – Week 22

Figures over on the protection side of the business were creeping back up again nicely with 31 policies completed this week of which Kevin Gronow and Warren Middleton secured 6 deals each followed by Sophie Evans and Jo Zeff with 4 deals each.
Scotland’s William Townsend also had a great week ( pictured above , sideways up…we will fix that William ! )
Southern Superstar Ajay Sharma secured this week’s highest policy amount of £1,500,000 with Legal and General and on the provider side you completed the greatest number of policies this week also with Legal and General totalling 10.
Birthday’s and other Parish Notices
Many Happy Returns to Sarah Norman and Virginia Harrow who will both be celebrating their Birthday’s on the 11th and to Heather Wall for the 14th. And to Adriana for her recent birthday too . Feliz Cumpleanos , Ojos.
Management Notices
It’s clear that several of you have been taking stay-cations of late , and others have them planned . This is positive news .
We’ve all had a challenging 15 months now so please do your best to get away if you can . Folk under-estimate the importance of such breaks in terms of mental health. Further , the UK really does have some fantastic coastal resorts and my own hope is that the stay-cation becomes a more permanent ritual for more of the population.
Not much else to add this week other than the following ;
Chris is now back in the saddle after a brief & partly enforced break. If he is working on something with you , please give him a little more time just to get caught up.
Good news re the Newsletter ; this is now 90% done and we will send a copy to all for their views next week . This had an exceptionally high ‘’ Open and Read ‘’ rate last time and amongst several themes , focuses on the re-mortgage market and post-furlough lender treatments.
We have 4 more news starters lined up. …. This brings this year’s new entrant tally to an amazing 18 . That’s exceptional given the year we have all had , and the geographic spread on these new recruits is also pleasing to us , our lender-partners , & investors and shareholders alike. With lots of regional property surveys producing some conflicting data and forecasts right now , it’s great that we have pretty much every UK postcode well covered now.
Finally , please once again be mindful and alert on any applications which have a secondary income or where the plausibility of the main applicants’ incomes are questionable (.. we recently had 2 situations where restauranteurs and publicans had given themselves sched E pay rises ….. yep ; during the
pandemic ! ? ). This can be a challenge where the client is a family friend etc , but it’s never worth compromising your own status nor that of your colleagues.
If Boris and his numpties can get their sh*t together by next Monday , we hope to then be able to confirm all re the Conference on the 24th !
Thanks for your continued patience on that one !
We should also wish all the home nations well in the Euro’s , where Wales and Scotland should do better than expected , and where England once again look like wasting a great opportunity with an out -of-his-depth manager in charge and unfit players everywhere we look ! ☹
