Activity Charts – Week 20 (11th May to 17th May 2021)

It’s been a week with the headlines dominated by bad guys such as that deceiver Martin Bashir and the ever-incompetent and still-Re-moaning BEEB , who are finally being outed for their Panaroma misdoings and cover-ups ….. and rightly so after all this time!

We also saw Spurs not go ‘spursey’ for once , and their late win actually made our encumbant Chelski fans very happy , and the Gaffer too … as trips to Andorra , Azerbaijan or Airdrie didn’t really appeal on a Thursday night ….

Elsewhere in the headlines it’s been umbrellas ahoy as this May has now been recorded as the wettest on record and on Saturday the rest of Europe (and Australia!!!) also rained on our parade as the UK ended up with ‘ Nil Points’ in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest which was tacky as hell but still brought some much needed respite to our screens on Saturday night with a real live audience !!!

Over to our own results ( and at least we don’t have to wait an eternity for the results to come in on the leaderboard as this week you completed 93 cases for £3,476,762 of lending. )

“Congratulations!” to Sandy Mcilvenna who was crowned the winner of this week’s charts with £3,476,762 of lending across 3 cases ; and super Sandy also wins the “Boom Bang a Banging - Big Time Bertha” Award for her £3 million deal with the NatWest.

Sandy was followed in this week’s charts by runners-up Phil Lyle with £2,676,240 of lending across 4 cases , and Colette Hall with £2,238,002 across 3 cases.

Then Dinging that Dong with their “Case a Day” figures were Zak Abdul Karim, Sarju Rach, Sarah Norman, Sean McGeough and Rhys Forrest.

On the lender side you completed the greatest number of cases this week with NatWest totalling 16 for £9,113,393 of lending.

Protection – Week 20

ree

Not such a sprightly week as late over on the protection side of the business but you still came up with 27 cases of which our permanently stuck record was the ever-impressive Kevin Gronow who completed 10.

From her bunker in Tel Aviv , Jo Zeff did an exceptional 7 and on what was a good weekend for all swans , Sophie Evans did 4.

Alex Cast secured the highest policy amount this week for £340,299 with L&G and overall you also completed the greatest number of cases this week with L&G totalling 8.

Management Notices

Last week was quieter than what we’ve seen of late and there’s a feeling now that some of the Stamp Duty inspired deals which were formerly expedited at a pace are now starting to abate . That clock has run down almost .

Don’t be surprised therefore if lenders soon start to target re-mortgage business , especially as this is a record year for PT’s with over 700,000 fixed rates expiring between now and December ! On which point our next Newsletter is already on the drawing board and its release in early June will feature a piece on the timeliness required in beating a lender to the anniversaries.

Our Thanks to all those who attended the London meetings last week , especially to Paul Varney for skilfully playing the role of Chief Whip once again , and commendations to messrs Taylor , Nathan , and Avrili ( W ) for being the last men standing at 10pm after a 2pm start ! hic . Very impressive.

It was also a week when the Oxford vaccine’s potency was re-affirmed ( spitefully reflected in our Eurovision score …but hey ho ! ) , such that the Conference date at the NED ( June 24th ) looks more secure now . But we will update you accordingly.

This week it’s the broker-roadshow turn of Canary Wharf , Bournemouth and Hertfordshire !

Have a good week all .
