Activity Charts – Week 17 (20th April to 26th April 2021)

Well folks ….. It’s been a week where the bad guys have dominated the headlines, with ITV scrapping the last episode of its series ‘Viewpoint’ after serious allegations were made against actor Noel Clarke and Line of Duty ‘s Season Finale revealing who the mysterious baddy “H” was after a 5 year wait!!
(I won’t reveal who, in case you haven’t watched it yet!! No Spoilers here! 😊)
Then we had Mr Starmer larking around for a “comedy” photo-op in John Lewis’ home décor department in an apparent dig at the P.M’s own home furnishing debacle! (Don’t these people have better things to do !??)
And finally this weekend saw a number of militant Man U fan’s breaking into Old Trafford to protest against the club’s owners – looks like the naughty step is well and truly full for the this week!
Conversely , we had the usual impeccable behaviour across the MF business with Week 17 turning up £25,133,835 of lending across 92 cases.
Top of the class this week was the fast-emerging of late, Ron Walton , who led the pack with £3,041,972 of lending across 6 cases followed by Berberry’s No 2 , Mark Nathan with £1,614,806 of lending across 3 cases and Mike ‘’ Miguel-Ramon ‘’ Atkinson with £1,560,562 across 3 cases.
Sarju Rach won the “Big Time Barry” Award for the week with his £1,235,109 case with Clydesdale Bank and getting the merits for their weekly case volume were Zak Abdul Karim with 7 this week and Eva Alonso, Jaime Lines and Rhys Forrest for their case- a- day throughput. Eva in fact had a very impressive week as she also nailed 4 policies 😊 . Fantastico!!
On the lender side you completed the greatest number of deals with NatWest totalling 13 for £2,890, 110 of lending.
Protection – Week 17

Some excellent results once again on the protection side of the business with 31 cases completed this week of which Kevin Gronow completed 5 deals with Eva Alonso, Lee Power and Pete Chappell securing 4 deals each. Graham Frooms secured the highest policy amount of £1,223, 499 with Legal and General and on the provider side you completed the greatest number of deals overall also with Legal and General totalling 14.

This week sees us updating the YTD stats and if you check out the Intranet on Thursday you will see that there’s been quite a bit of movement in the TOP TENS , especially in the case- count table where Berberry’s No 2, Mark Nathan has put on a West ‘ am style surge to charge in to the top 10 from mid table. Zak- AK- 47 still leads with a good margin, but the IPL Maximum – smasher that is Ajay ‘’ Rohit ‘’ Sharma is on his heels. ( … you can hardly tell the difference between them up above, eh Shakil ???? 😊 )
Outside of London, it’s really pleasing to see Michelle Barraclough, Jaimie Lines, Rhys Forrest and Sean McGough still smashing it ….. 60% of the Top Ten YTD are now outside of the M25 which is a healthy indicator for the business 😊 and partly explains why Lenders and Investors alike have a fondness for the business. Indeed, the fastest growing MF regions right now are all in the provinces.
On the loan volumes , Ronald Marlon Walton has put on a helluva spurt in April and surged to the top with £28 million already lent. Well done to him and his hard working team of ‘’Ron’s Angels‘’ . Not surprisingly, the London massif dominate this one due to the loan sizes with many of the expected Large Loan Larries and Letitia’s up there …
On the insurance side, Wales continues to devour all before it via Kevin and Sophie down in Swansea, with an adorable 140 policies between them since January. Well done to them and John and Gareth.
Despite that, we are still 47% up on Life penetration notwithstanding the two dragons ….. Pete Chappell has 37, Jo Zeff 27, Gouldy 26 (easily the midlands’ top dog as per in the premiership ??), and another ‘appy ‘ammer Warren Middleton has 23. But what’s most pleasing is our ‘ tail ‘ in this category , where the likes of Paul Varney, Adriana Rocha, Zoe O’hara, and Lee Power have all nailed 20+ policies with Colette and Eva not far behind. 😊
Well Done all on a great first 4 months wherein we are already well ahead of budget and what was set us ….. ALL DESPITE (OR PERHAPS IN PART, BECAUSE OF ?) THE PANDEMIC!
Kevin
