The week that was 29th March

It’s a week when lots of us will be eating copious amounts of chocolate and jetting off for our hols (the Gaffer and myself included) as we enjoy the Easter break but which will sadly also see the Queen missing her first Maundy Thursday alms ceremony since her reign began as she is replaced this year by Prince Charles.

Elsewhere in the news “Dishy Rishi” has been under fire for his wife’s tax misdemeanours’, Britney Spears has announced that she is expecting her third child and Little Mix fans will be mourning as the girls commence their goodbye tour!

... and on the subject of fond farewells, you'd be forgiven for thinking that the end of the BBC's Pesky Bleaders marked the end of that particular brand.

Far from it, here at Mortgage Force, Week 11 saw distinctly razor-like performances from our very own brand of Brummie battlers.

Neil Gould may have seen his own villains whipped yet again but he in turn nailed 6 cases, & the dream duo that is Martin Whitehouse & Charlotte Stanbridge have made a cracking start.

We also saw Heather Wall & Lorraine Standring cutting up 7 cases between them. As they sing down Stechford way, "Keep Right On, yow Brummies"!! 😁😁

All of which contributed to you completing an eggstremely hefty £43,742,195 of lending across 121 cases in Week 13.

This weeks charts were topped by Paul Oglesby who completed a £6,975,671 of lending across 11 cases and not surprisingly Paul also received this weeks “Big Time “Easter” Bunny” Award for his £2,998,125 deal with Kent Reliance / OSB.

In second place on this week’s charts was Sarah Norman with £3,552, 150 of lending across 7 cases and Sarah was then followed by Sandy Mcilvenna with £2,771,492 of lending across 4 cases.

Then in addition to our Superstar Brummie crew mentioned above , the following all put in some very tasty performances this week in terms of case volume and value. Step forward Nick Harris, Zak Abdul Karim, Ron Walton, Rachel Vernile, Rhys Forrest, Mike Atkinson, Sarju Rach, Tom Sibley, Steve Hankins, Spencer Havers, Laura Sayers and Mark Nathan.

On the lender side you completed the greatest number of cases this week with Santander totalling 17 for £6,840,075 of lending.

Protection – Week 13

An eggstremely tasty week too over on the Protection side of the business in Week 13 with 32 deals completed of which dynamic duo Nick Price and Sophie Evans secured 12 and 11 deals respectively and Russell Davis secured a double whammy with the two highest policy amounts this week of £550,000 each with L&G.

On the provider side you completed the greatest number of deals with AIG Life totalling 11.

Club Notices For Members

Not much this week.

1. Our Sottish brokers assembled last week amid an inspection of a potentially new Office site up in Jockestan.

This could potentially be needed for 6 new brokers.

Good news in itself & certainly great news for MF 's very own Love Island celebrities (Rhys & Chloe) who will now be able to look lovingly in to each other's eyes across a desk whilst nibbling on haggis or deep fried Mars Bars!? 😭 🏴🏴🏴

Bless! Oh to be young, and not heading fast towards age 60 ...! 😭

2. On which subject, the Gaffer is off to celebrate his b'day tomorrow on a 4 day French boot camp, to prepare for the upcoming Tough Mudder event. 💪

Suffice to say he 'll be firmly out of reach until Tuesday next week.

3. HSBC Good News x 2

A) Our Annual Conference in the UK is now confirmed for Tuesday October 4th at the fabulous HSBC HQ in Canary Wharf London . Further details to follow. B) HSBC are also looking to include us in their Buy to Let Pilot scheme . Kevin will be writing to some of you very shortly (via Michele Barraclough) requesting your input into the Do’s and Don’ts for HSBC around matters such as the IRR, Portfolios, and How to Best achieve a solid start for the Bank in this sector.

Have a great Easter all. 🐣
