The week that was 24th May

Jeeze. Well, what a fantastic week of street parties, fly-pasts, concerts, 80’s supermodels ( and a few Z listers , let’s be honest!! 😊) and other genuine icons on top of double decker buses + all manner of celebrations as the nation came together for a fantastic jubilee 4 day weekend and we all finally got to find out what the Queen carries in her handbag! Thanks Paddington! < The Gaffer had escaped to France for 4 days but was astounded that even in one of our most rivalled societies , the French tv stations and population at large were glued to it all for 4 days! >

And the celebrating continued for that very questionable human being, Johnny Depp as he finally won his battle against Amber ‘Turd’; but for Boris it was rather less of a jubilant victory as a staggering 41% the Tory Party‘s MP’s gave a No-confidence vote in him but nevertheless he scraped through to fight another day! < Gaffer;‘’ one shouldn’t ever mention religion or politics here ; I accept that ; BUT ….. the t*at still had the temerity to call it a convincing win; just what kind of deluded planet is this charlatan living on???) 😊 He is toast within 6 months >

Good job for Carrie too after all they (we) spent on decorating No. 10!

Back to the celebrating over on the mortgage side of the business however and the figures were more than worthy of a Royal Seal of approval as you clocked up a distinctly royal £42,417,017 of lending across 129 cases - an incredible result made even more so as we are now in peak holiday season.

MORTGAGEFORCE HEADLINES

Knighted and enobled this week was Nick Harris with £3,923,702 of lending across 10 cases followed by David Scotland with £3,798,089 of lending across 7 cases and in third place was Will Avrili with £2,580,258 of lending across 3 cases - and Will’s £1,924,180 case with NatWest Bank also earnt him this week’s “Big Time Barry” Award. Well done Gentlemen!

Also deserving of the royal salute this week in terms of case values and volumes were Zak Abdul Karim, Ajay Sharma, Warren ‘’the trombone‘’ Middleton, Sean McGeough, Ron Walton, Michelle Barraclough, Sarju Rach, Dominic Willett, James Newton, Mike Atkinson, Adriana Rocha and Ricki Wenn.

On the lender side you placed the most cases this week with Halifax totalling 14 for £3,600,393 of lending.

Protection – Week 21

Things remained steady on the protection side of the business with 30 deals completed this week of which the dynamic Welsh duo, Nick Price secured 13 and Sophie Evans, 9.

Nick also secured the highest policy amount this week of £500,00 with AIG and on the provider side you also completed the greatest number of deals overall this week with AIG totalling 9.

Birthdays and other Parish Notices

Many Happy Returns this week to Sarah Norman who will be celebrating her birthday on the 11th.

Club Notices For Members

Not too much to mention this week folks as we have a flurry of monthly get- togethers occurring.

Football Fantasy Winners; Martin now has these framed and will be popping out the winnings this week.

Martin lived up to his own reputation for being good with numbers by actually winning the whole thing! But amongst the other winners were Ian Day, James Cosgrove and Phil Lyle.

Mark Nathan this week competes in a 72 hole golf event; Sadly, not for him the $25m sports-washing jamboree at the Centurion Club, but a charity event; if you haven’t done so already, please do consider sponsoring him. Given his handicap from the Guadalaraja Country Club, he hopes to cumulatively score over 200 stapleford points. He has also fully prepared for the event and has packed several suitcases to ensure that he starts each hole with a fresh shirt and pair of shorts! 😊 Best of luck to Mark.

Have a great week, all; and especially those going on the gin tasting courtesy of Kat Waller and RBC on Thursday! hic. 😊
