The week that was 22nd February

Another very sombre week on the news front as we continue to see those heart breaking images coming from the Ukraine and as bad as human nature can be (Putin) we have also seen how good it can be as so many heroes have emerged, not least the very enigmatic leader of the Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. Our thoughts remain with all those involved in this very tragic war.

On the subject of hero’s, we also last week lost one of the cricket world’s greatest and most genius of players, Shane Warne, who passed away whilst on holiday in Thailand.

Continuing on the sporting front meanwhile, Man City thrashed United in their Derby game and in the EPL, football fans proudly empathised with Ukrainians (well.... all except for Chelski's!) & Roy Keane gave us yet more Box Office quotes as the Battle for 4th place appeared to now be about The Gunners not going all Spursy! 😄⚽😄

And finally if you didn’t already know, today is International Women’s Day, celebrating the achievements of some of our most inspirational women from all fields including those amazing scientists who changed the path of the pandemic. Kim Kardashian meanwhile is likely counting hers as her recent divorce from Ye (formerly known as Kanye), while the ladies from ITV managed to co-ordinate their outfits for a photo-shoot!

Thankfully we have no such divas here amongst the Mortgage Force team where once again we saw another fantastic week for the ladies including Sarah Norman, Michelle Barraclough, Adriana Rocha, and Heather Wall who all played a massive role in us securing £40,557,818 of lending across 113 cases in Week 8.

Then onto this week’s charts which were topped by Simon Holdsworth who completed a very tasty £5,485,125 of lending across 2 cases, his £3,450,000 deal with NatWest also winning him the “Large Loan Larry” award for this week.

Simon was followed by Ian Broadrick with £3,010,283 of lending across 2 cases and Phil Lyle with £2,674,061 of lending across 5 cases.

Then lining up alongside our star ladies this week for their outstanding performances in terms of case values and volumes were Warren Middleton, Mark Nathan, Ricki Wenn, Ajay Sharma, David Scotland, Ron Walton, Nick Harris, Chris Taylor, Sean McGeough, Dominic Willett and Mike Atkinson.

On the lender side yet again you completed the greatest number of deals with Santander totalling 24 for £8,312, 176 of lending.

Protection – Week 8

Another good week over on the Protection side of the business with 34 deals completed this week of which Nick Price secured 11 and Sophie Evans, 8.

Paul Varney completed the highest policy amount of £1,055,000 with Aegon and on the provider side you completed the greatest number of deals with Aviva totalling 7.

Birthday’s and other Parish Notices

Many Happy Returns this week to Kyle Greck who will be celebrating his Birthday on the 10th, the awesome Silvia Avrili on the 12th and Toby Easthope on the 14th.
