Whilst last week was all about things going bump in the night, this week it’s all about things going off with a bang (including our Midlands Conference!) with Bonfire night on Friday.
Back to Halloween though and as always the C’lebs loved to dress for the occasion, my personal favourite being Katy Perry as the Covid vaccine but not to be outdone were our own M Force ladies Lorraine Standring and Michelle Barraclough (both pics above…. scary but gorgeous!) who certainly gave those A Listers a real run for their money!
Up in Glasgow meanwhile, the Cop26 summit began which as always attracted the usual bunch arriving in their gas guzzling vehicles and planes and that’s just the activists and protesters!
And finally more big music news and after the news of Adele’s big comeback, this week was Ed Sheeran’s turn with the launch of his new album “=”.
Over to the mortgage side of things and Week 32 saw 101 deals completed for £31,890,606 of lending, not bad considering many of you were on half term breaks this week.
Sparkling on top of the charts this week was Sandy Mcilvenna with £1,918,143 of lending across 4 cases, and Sandy was followed by Kamlesh Jetha with £1,771,497 of lending across 2 cases and Sarah Norman with £1,769,992 across 4 cases.
Then keeping the fire burning were this week’s big hitters in terms of case volume and value – step forward David Scotland (making a fine debut) Martin Whitehouse (also now making waves having only just joined), Ron Walton, Chris Taylor, Phil Lyle, Nick Harris, Ricki Wenn, Eva Alonso, Gary Ince, James Newton (no doubt celebrating the pending arrival of the next Spursie Manager), Spencer Havers (how long will Conte last?) , Zak Abdul Karim (… why wasn’t Sam Allardyce given a go?), Heather Wall and Michelle Barraclough.
A special mention also to Becky Hadley who has got off to a red hot start with the business!
Joint “Big Time Bangers” were Kamlesh Jetha and David Scotland for their £1,201,999deals with Clydesdale t.a. Virgin Money.
On the Lender side meanwhile, you completed the greatest number of deals this week with Santander totalling 22 for £8,196,774 of lending.
Protection – Week 43

Things were still looking hot on the Protection side of the business this week with 31 deals completed of which Kevin Gronow secured 10 and Nick Price, 8.
Adriana Rocha secured the highest policy amount of £1,200,000 with L&G and on the provider side you completed the greatest number of deals with AIG totalling 6.
Birthday’s and other Parish Notices
Many Happy Returns to Tom Sibley for tomorrow and Will Avrili (will he be getting a brand new tennis racket given the big match up against the two Old Age Pensioner’s is now less than 2 weeks away) for the 4th. Have a great days Guys!
Also, a special mention to recent newcomer Alan Overy who is sadly unable to attend the Marbella conference…. Because he has been selected to represent the Country in the World Senior Badminton Championships that week. Best of luck with that Alan.
Management Notices

Not too much this week as we have the Midlands Conference on Friday with some excellent guest speakers and the Gaffer is in Wales once again next week to discuss their recent fixture against the All Blacks (talk about a Halloween horror show, even if it was their third XV.)
1. A note on Christmas opening hours will be with you by the end of the week.
2. Please keep paying attention to the behaviour of lenders around Product Transfers. We had two further violations by them this week.
3. With quite a few events coming up we will be keeping a tally of the best and worst Christmas jumpers , with prizes given to the most heinous efforts at the various pre -Christmas events.
Congratulations again all on a fantastic Week 43.
