The week that was 18th January

So…aside from news of yet more parties at No. 10 (seriously - how do they find the time for any work?!!) it was a bit of a fierce one this week with Storm Malik wreaking havoc across many area’s of the country and causing power outage and flight disruptions galore, then here in Derbados, DCFC continued to weather their own storm in their battle for survival with supporters marching in support to Pride Park Stadium on Sunday.

Then never mind a teacup! It was more like a storm in a D Cup as Lily James’ new Pam and Tommy mini series hit Disney+ (hmmmmmmm - not sure the 8 year old will be watching that one!!!!!!)

And finally before we get to this week’s figures a quick shout out to Spencer Havers whose £1,471,500 with Investec was missed off last week’s report but is definitely worth a mention this week. Well done Spencer!

So over to this week’s figures and you secured a very blustering £331,288,650 of lending this week across 111 cases.

In at No. 1 on the charts was David Scotland with his £3,819,417 deal with NatWest which also unsurprisingly wins him the “Big Time Barry” Award for this week.

David was then followed by the storm forces that are Nick Harris who secured £2,350,915 of lending across 7 cases and Phil Lyle with £2,258,783 of lending across 5 cases.

Then shaking things up in terms of case value and volumes this week were Ricki Wenn, Sean McGeough, Paul Varney, Zak Abdul Karim, Sarah Norman , Mike Atkinson, Steve Hankins, Will Avrili and Heather Wall.

Occasionally this year we will also want to share some snippets with you on Completions as well as Apps.

This week, it's Mark Nathan who has lit up the cash registers with 2 whopping completions with Interbay and TML .

This now brings his 2022 YTD comps total to £54,500. From which we can draw 2 conclusions;

a ) His XG Expected Goals (expressed as income!) for the year end is now £ 820,000 😀

b) He is clearly the man to catch now & he may no longer be just the No 3 broker at Berberry! 😀

Well done Mark. You'll be able to fly by private jet with the ICF to Seville in May for the Europa final! ✈️ "

Finally on the lender side this week, you completed the greatest number of deals with NatWest totalling 18 for £8,310,748 of lending.

Protection – Week 3

It was a rather calmer week over on the Protection side of the business with 23 deals completed of which Nick Price and Sophie Evans completed 8 each and Sophie also secured the highest policy amount of £304,999 with HSBC.

On the provider side you completed the greatest number of deals this week with L&G totalling 5.

Please note that the Management Notices will follow on next week.

Best wishes

Kerry
