Afternoon All,
Obviously there has only been one main story dominating the headlines this week with the whole world seemingly & thankfully united in its horror against the barbaric Putin’s latest war crimes; and it goes without saying that our thoughts and prayers are with those in the Ukraine. Up here in Derby , The Gaffer & we are now sending blankets, clothes, toys etc to Poland to comfort the Ukrainian refugees …every little gesture etc , when aggregated, will help.
Meanwhile, back on home soil we also wish the Queen a speedy recovery from Covid (that lady has had a pretty tough year so far!).
Hey Ho, it’s a funny old world which we live in when some people are losing their lives and homes while on the other side of the world some are stressing out over what to wear. As in the “Shallow’s of showbiz, (geddit?!) Lady Gaga pumped up the glitz for the 2022 SAG Award Ceremony where she reunited with previous co-star Bradley Cooper amid fellow attendees Will Smith, Olivia Colman and the cast of Squid Game.
It was also a week when we suffered yet another tiresome clarion call for the vastly over-rated Spice Girls to be reunited for the Queen's June 4th celebrations. (Hasn’t that poor woman suffered enough already?!! 😊)
And whilst 2 of these 5 totally over-rated diva's appear unconvinced , there was no such hesitation amongst MF's own power -songstresses; For of the Top Six places in the overall rankings, no fewer than FOUR were occupied by ladies who truly wannabe recognised.
.. For it was definitely Viva Forever for Heather Wall, Sarah Norman, Rachel Vernile & Michelle Barraclough, whose "2 become 1" was actually an astonishing total of 22 cases become exceptional , between them.
And 22 was clearly the number of choice last week. For believe it or not , this was the gargantuan number of cases written by the London behemoth that is Ian Broadrick, who unsurprisingly topped the charts this week with his quite magnificent £6,277,463 of lending!!!!. (... and well done to poor Anne Croney for keying these !! 😊).
That was most definitely a Mortgage Force record.
A “shout-out” too for another of Annie Croney's high-performing colts - David Scotland ....he's only been with us 5 minutes but he's really going a gallop now & he hurdled 4 cases last week for £2.1m. Well done David.
And so thanks largely to all of the above’s efforts you managed to complete a salute worthy £37,470,215 of lending across 126 cases.
Well done also to runners up this week; Will Avrili with £2,550,298 of lending across 4 cases including his “Large Loan Larry” Award winning deal for £2,550,298 with Bank of Ireland and to Phil Lyle who completed £2,420,038 of lending across 6 cases.
On the lender side you completed the greatest number of cases this week yet again with Santander totalling 19 for £5,360,415 of lending.
Protection – Week 7

Another headline grabbing week on the Protection side of the business with 46 deals completed of which Nick Price secured 10 and it was an astonishing performance from Colette Hall, who nailed a whopping 9 deals.
Jo Zeff secured the highest policy amount for £500,000 with L&G and overall you completed the greatest number of deals with L&G totalling 9.
Birthday’s and other Parish Notices
Many Happy returns to Ron Walton who will be celebrating his 59th Birthday with a tipple or two next Monday. (Well… The Gaffer tells me he’s 59, so he must be … ? 😊)
Management Notices

COMINGS & GOINGS
As you know, we have really tried to purge the business of any brokers whose case hygiene factors are letting us all down.
And in the Quarterly 121's which are now well underway it’s been really invigorating to see so many of you recording high marks on your Compliance Report cards.
We now only have 2 brokers out of 80 in the "red zone" & under heightened supervision & we have 6 new brokers in a holding pattern ready to join , 2 of whom did £200k each last year.
A SAD GOODBYE ☹
Notwithstanding all that, we know that no industry model or peer can "offer it all", and with Mortgage Force not (yet) being an Estate Agency affiliate, we know that the lead flow which we do provide definitely can't be the chunky, HNW stuff. 💰
To that end, we will be sorry to shortly lose Tom & Emma Sibley.
Tom & Emma have taken up a fantastic opportunity to work with some distinguished London agents & it is with a heavy heart that we say Goodbye & Good Luck to them.
Hopefully there will be some leaving drinks, and hopefully some sustenance too, including Emma's self-confessed food Heaven .....Cheeseburgers!
Details to follow, folks. 😄
SARJ DOES IT AGAIN ….
It wasn’t that long ago that Sarj and Kamlesh nailed a £50k commission case. Well …., as they say at the Emirates most Saturdays in May (in relation to Chokenham FC 😊),
‘’… IT’S HAPPENED AGAIN‘’!
His second monster case with HTB finally completed for the princely commission of £49,500; It’s just as well the London Broker meeting was frustratingly lost to the tube strike this week as the after- drinks may well have cost the consummately ever-generous Sarj, a small fortune! Though there’s always the one on March 31st!
Well Done Sarj! Amazing Work, and Messrs Holdsworth , Nathan and Harris are now conjoined in a 4- way battle to end Q1 as Top Banana, with Ian B soon to join .;.! 😊

Have a great week, all.
