Hero of the Month

Great narrative from our Hero of the Month - Neil Gould

Neil Gould shares a story below that once again confirms the importance of discussing protection with all clients. A comforting outcome for the couple , but a salutary lesson in itself.

Well Done Neil!

I interviewed one of my clients last January as when I called him re his annual service call he said his circumstances had changed and would like me to pop out to see him.

When I went to see him he introduced me to his new partner and whilst not named on the mortgage she made a significant contribution to the monthly expenditure and already having life and critical illness cover in his own name felt it important for his new partner to take out some level term life and critical illness cover.

In December she was diagnosed with breast cancer and has recently received a lump sum of £150,000 which has taken a significant financial burden off their shoulders whilst she is unable to work and recover from her illness.

The good news is that that the consultant is confident the radiation she has had has removed the cancer. With the money they intend to pay a lump sum of the mortgage to reduce monthly expenditure and purchase a static caravan in Cornwall.
